OUR CURRICULUM
At Smoke Rise Nursery School, we’re all about helping little ones grow! Our play-based curriculum nurtures social, academic, and emotional development, making the transition to kindergarten a breeze. Through fun activities, your child will explore, interact, and discover while learning the skills they need for kindergarten. Our teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, and our school is proudly accredited by the state of New Jersey. We follow the Kinnelon School District calendar and offer a 10-month program with competitive tuition, serving Bloomingdale, Butler, Kinnelon, Pompton Lakes, Riverdale, West Milford, and nearby communities. Our Program
Two-and-a-Half-Year-Olds: Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
(Must turn 2 on or before 10/1)
Three-Year-Olds: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
(Must turn 3 on or before 10/1)
Four-Year-Olds: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
(Must turn 4 on or before 10/1)
Our core curriculum is covered during these school hours, but we also offer an optional enrichment day! On this day, students dive into fun themes like countries, holidays, space, rainforests, gardening, and more.
OUR HISTORY
Smoke Rise Nursery School has been a beloved part of the Kinnelon community since 1955, nurturing young minds from Kinnelon and neighboring towns. Located within the gated community of Smoke Rise, we've grown and adapted over the years to meet the needs of our families.
While we’ve transitioned away from our cooperative model based on feedback from our families and alumni, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved! Parents can choose to serve on our Executive Board or join one of our committees, and enjoy a tuition discount as a thank-you for their support.
